Before I even started thinking about doing another album with Zappa compositions, I wondered how one could play Camarillo Brillo on solo piano. The chord progression is all but standard, yet not as bizarre as many other of Frank Zappa’s endeavours. In the beginning, I couldn’t get it to work for me and I dropped the idea. Until somewhere, in the warm days before the summer of 2018, when I got an idea. That idea is now on this album.
